About |

Årnfelts förlag / arnfelts.com is a small independent publishing company. The driving idea is to provide our audience with quality material on subjects many others consider to small to be published. Currently we sell only game books, but hope to produce other types of material in a not to distant future. Who are we?Basically its just me, Thomas, and my family. However, there are a few others that are heavily involved in different projects. Johan Herber has over the years become deeply involved in the creation of the Gå På rules. I always try my ideas on him before I put them into the rules. He is also the first to playtest everything, and has been involved in many a demo game. Daniel Staberg is my “Chief researcher” and 17th century expert. He has spent many hours digging up information and compiling it for me. Jonas Petersson has been organizing Gå På demo games for several years now. He has also, as a side effect of this, become a major input with regards to playtesting. Philippe Evrard did the translation of the V1 rules and army lists into French. He has also provided me with a lot of info on the mid 18th century—which might lead to another publication in the future. You find his web site here All the gamers, playtesters and everyone else using the stuff and providing input. You are all a vital part of this operation. How do we operate? The key is Print on demand—or what I prefer to call “True print on demand”. We now have the equipment to print and bind single copies if necessary. It’s a lot of work, yes, and low profit margins. But—the thing is, as long as we work with things we really want for ourselves that is not a problem. For you it means you can get products you probably wouldn’t find at a larger publishing house. Another important thing is service. As long as you as a customer is happy—I am too. Thomas Årnfelt |
